It was either today or yesterday, but the US House of Representatives has tabeled (i.e. "killed") the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). However, I'd caution you all not to immediately fall silent on the matter. The US Senate still has its own version making the rounds, called the PROTECT-IP Act (PIPA), that is arguably worse.
